Tuka - Forgotten lands

Tuka is a human settlement in the arctic tundra of North Hieyoks
known as the Shimukt people (Shē-moo-t)
hunting and fishing is the culture all Shimukt people live by
they live mostly underground where it can be much warmer, known only by flagged ice mounds which serve as an entrance on the surface of their homes.
the underground systems are reinforced by wood frames and animal bones.
One of many preferred animals to hunt is a giant woolly animal known as a Biseriun
When they hunt they cut and bring back as much as they can
often making frequent trips if the band of hunters was not large enough to carry sufficient spoils.
they do this to avoid being out in the fierce wilderness for too long.
as there are many unknown dangers besides the weather and cold.
Shimukt are very friendly and quite helpful to those who find themselves lost or abandoned in this unforgiving terrain.
they make good business as guides to those who come from distant lands to hunt and or explore.
difficult to find ice caverns can be found in remote parts which are rumored to hold a great number of lost valuables and precious stones.
Shimukt guides get valuable trade goods from foreigners who are drawn by the supposed treasure these caverns might hold.
though treasures are just rumors as nothing of great value has been found.
those who come without knowledge of the terrain or unaccompanied by a Shimukt guide run the risk of encountering fierce predators or angry ice giants that can cut the time of those enticed to search the caverns short.
that is if the cold dont get to them first.
